Postnatal Doula Support

Postnatal Doula support across Hampshire, Surrey & West Sussex

As a Postnatal Doula, I support your family in those early hours/weeks/months to help you navigate your new family dynamic. Whether its your first or fourth baby, I can be there to support you from a few hours a week to multiple days a week.

I am an experienced Postnatal Doula offering support across Hampshire, Surrey & West Sussex. I bring this wealth of experience to your family in whatever way you need. You might not know what you need and that’s OK too.

I am hugely passionate about nurturing the mother in this hugely transitional and transformative time, helping you adjust to life with your new baby.

Examples of the type of support I can offer you during our time together are:

  • Post-birth debrief & emotional support after your birth

  • Postnatal massage

  • Look after your baby so you can rest, eat, sleep, work or attend appointments

  • Ensure you are eating nourishing food & drink

  • Play and look after older siblings

  • Support breastfeeding as a peer supporter

  • Take your baby out for fresh air so you can have a quiet house

  • Light cleaning/sorting around the house

  • Prepare a meal or batch cook food for your freezer

What a gift it is to yourself to spend some time planning for your postpartum.

A healthy baby is not all that matters.

You matter.

Find out how this support can look for you.

I have been working as a postnatal doula since 2017

With every family I take on a different role as everyone’s wishes and family circumstances are unique.

I have worked with babies in their first minutes/hours of life, right up to weaning time.

I have supported hundreds of families across Surrey and Hampshire; first time parents, breastfeeding support, twin families, post birth trauma support, night support, post c-section support, juggling older siblings, massage and everything in between.

I see so much that this support role for mothers in their early postpartum has been something that has disappeared in favour for today’s ‘bounce back’ culture.

I believe that this early postnatal period to be a time of growth, reflection and love. I believe every new mother deserves to be held, listened to and supported as her body heals and she gets to know her new baby.

If you think you could benefit from practical support, physical comfort measures or emotional encouragement in your early days of motherhood, get in touch.
